Horseback Winery Rides
Giddy up and go sipping!
Hoof it through the wine country with Trail Boss Tiffany Fewel as your guide
Ride through the sun-soaked vineyards surrounding Cherry Wood, stop for tastings at two or three* selected wineries and enjoy a gourmet picnic-style lunch at Cultura Winery
You’ll receive basic riding instruction, learn about our horse rescue program and what makes each and every one of our horses so special and so deserving of our respect and appreciation. We’ll share our understanding of these kind and sensitive animals, and what they can teach us about ourselves.
As we ride through the countryside, we’ll also explain a bit about our farming operation, the fruit and grapes we grow and the environment we live in. More than a fun way to get from one winery to another, our rides offer you a full sensory experience of sight, sound, touch, smell and taste that’s sure to open your heart and mind to all this beautiful land has to offer.
*If you would like to visit more wineries than we can get to on horseback,
we recommend our Hay Wagon Winery Rides
Whether you ride a horse or a hay wagon, you don’t need to be one of our B&B guests to join us,
but please book in advance, as space is limited and all rides fill fast
Horseback rides are on Fridays and Saturdays, year 'round - weather permitting.
Hayrides run Thursdays and Sundays, and at other times by special arrangement
Cowboy hats are encouraged and we even have a great selection available for purchase

Guided rides include horse rental and lunch, stops at selected wineries and delivery of wine purchases to Cherry Wood at the end of the day.
Because our rides involve alcoholic beverages - you must be 21 years of age to join us.
No previous riding experience is necessary, although horseback riding is a physical activity requiring some degree of fitness and you must be able to get on unassisted. We offer “cowboy limo” hayrides as another fun way to tour our beautiful wine country.
Due to the stress on our horses, we have a rider weight limit of 240 pounds. Please let us know of any limitations you might have. We want you to have a safe and enjoyable ride and will do our best to accommodate your needs, but ask that you contact us to discuss weight restrictions and physical requirements if you have any concerns.
To be allowed to ride with us, you must wear proper footwear with a stiff heel and no-tread smooth soles. We do have some nice old cowboy boots available for your use, however, sizes are limited and we cannot guarantee we'll be able to fit you.
Please arrive by 11 am to sign required risk release form, and to try on boots if you need them.
Expect to ride until around 4pm.
At certain times of the year we can experience high winds and other conditions that may cause us to cancel rides for safety reasons. We certainly do not want to inconvenience or disappoint anyone, but we cannot control the weather and must put the wellbeing of our riders above all else. In such situations we may offer a hayride as an alternative.
*Winery tour cost does not include lodging or tasting fees
